Hello everyone! In today’s blog, you will learn about four foods that are high in vitamin C!
Four Foods That Are High In Very Vitamin C
There are many foods that have great levels of Vitamin C, but in today’s blog post I will highlight four of them; bell peppers, rosehip, oranges, and lemon.
Bell Peppers
All bell peppers have a high amount of vitamin C, especially red bell peppers. One medium-sized red bell pepper has 253% of the RDA* and one medium-sized green bell pepper has 159% of the RDA.
Rosehip
If you aren’t familiar with rosehip, here is a brief overview.
Rosehip is the part of a rose, underneath the petals. The rosehip is what holds the seeds of the rose. Rosehip has an incredibly high amount of vitamin C. Per one cup, rosehip contains 901% of the RDA! Rosehip, orange, and lemon are all ingredients in the Alive n Vibrant Green Powder (link to purchase is at bottom of post).
Orange
Orange is another great source of vitamin C, though it doesn’t have nearly as much vitamin C as rosehip does, it may be more readily available. One small orange has 85% of the RDA.
Lemon
Though you do not eat a lemon like you would eat an orange, I thought it was important to include them in this post. If you ever need to squeeze in another bit of vitamin C, squeeze some lemon juice on your lunch or dinner to finish the dish (see what I did there, squeeze in some squeezed lemon? :) ). One lemon has 51% of the RDA.
Conclusion
Bell peppers, rosehip, orange, and lemon, are all great sources of vitamin C. The Alive n Vibrant Green Superfood Powder has 35% of the RDA for vitamin C. It contains vitamin C rich rosehip, orange peel, and lemon peel.
